Yooo
How has your week been? I'd love to hear about it, so feel free to share. <3
My Solitude Experience in the Black Mountains
Last week, I spent three days in solitude in the Black Mountains. My only companions were twelve Corona beers, two steaks, and Osho's book 'Live Dangerously'. This experience taught me a lot about myself and the world around me. If you’re finding city life overwhelming, here’s the link to the two best cabin companies out there:
Music Updates
I got prints back from the gig last week and they are crazy! I've also started a WhatsApp group with some other artists to brainstorm and hold each other accountable for marketing and branding. We've named it "Music or Death". I have a similar thing for my business called SAAS Academy: Sharing the journey with others is super awesome for motivation.
Book of the Week: 'Live Dangerously' by Osho
This book talks about how life is a mystery, not a struggle, and each day presents us with another unfathomably beautiful experience. If you're seeking mental freedom, this book could provide some valuable insights. It reminded me to embrace the mystery of life and to let go of control and predict everything.
Song of the Week: 'Naked Solitude' by Wandering Lex
I made this song in the cabin on my last night. My favourite bar is: "Exploration includes the parts where the rains occlude my heart." To me, music is the most powerful tool for expressing and understanding emotions. If you're feeling lost, then maybe pick up that old violin and guitar sitting on the side.
Thought of the Week
If all materialistic measures of success such as fame, wealth, and status were to suddenly disappear, what experiences or achievements would make you feel that you've truly lived a fulfilling and extraordinary life? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
Peace, Lex.
